Public Security Chief receives US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for the Middle East

Manama, July 29 (BNA): Public Security Chief, Lieutenant General Taraq bin Hasan Al Hasan received today at the Coast Guard Command the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence (DASD) for the Middle East Dana Stroul and her accompanying delegation on the occasion of her official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting was held in the presence of Coast Guard Commander Rear Admiral Ala Abdullah Siyadi. The Public Security Chief welcomed the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for the Middle East and her accompanying delegation, lauding strong relations between the two friendly countries and the level of cooperation and coordination mainly in the security field. Both sides discussed issues of common interest, including mainly training and building capabilities and ways of enhancing them. The Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for the Middle East toured the Coast Guard Command’s Maritime Operations Centre and listened to a briefing on its missions and role in preserving naval security and safety. She was also informed about the work process at the Coast Guard Command and the services provided to boost naval security.
