Putin’s gift to Sadyr Zhaparov handed over to History Museum of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, March 1, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov handed over a sword to the State History Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic, which he received as a gift from Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit to Russia.
Head of the Department of Monitoring of Humanitarian Development and Interaction with Civil Society Institutions of the Kyrgyz President's Office Kudaibergen Bazarbayev said that during the visit to Russia President Sadyr Zhaparov presented Vladimir Putin with a sword. In return, the Russian leader gave the Kyrgyz president a saber. This valuable gift was handed over given to the State History Museum.
"The sword is a symbol of strength, justice and lawfulness. Sword bearers in the Middle Ages were knights who stood guard over the rule of law, who protected the weak and fought against injustice. That is why we think that the exchange of swords has a symbolic meaning. We must follow the path of lawfulness and justice and protect the weak," said Bazarbayev.
