Putin says Russia should develop its presence in global market of arms

MOSCOW, July 7 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s President Vladimir Putin says the portfolio of orders for export of Russian armoury has grown to almost 50 billion dollars. “Over first six months of the current year, the export of Russian armoury made 5.6 billion dollars - quite a figure, and the total portfolio of the orders for export has reached almost 50 billion dollars,” the president told a meeting of the commission on military-technical cooperation. “It is most important now to develop steadily the entire military-technical cooperation, our existing and promising international relations in this sphere, to develop Russia’s presence in the global market of arms, and thus, no doubt, we shall help our producers to plan extension and re-equipment of enterprises, to offer new high-quality jobs.” Learn more on itar-tass.com
