Qatar Chamber of Commerce has Strong Presence at the International Level; Sheikh Khalifa Says

Doha, February 25 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) has a strong presence at the international level thanks to the wise policies of HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, HE Chairman of QCCI Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani underlined. Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), HE Sheikh Khalifa said that for the first time in the history of Arab chambers of commerce, the QCCI last year became a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the G20 Advisory Group for the Middle East and North Africa. The QCCI has also won the confidence of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry which chose Qatar to be the center of its business and activities in the next phase, HE Sheikh Khalifa added. HE the QCCI Chairman highlighted that the Chamber is currently prepare to host the World Chambers Congress in April 2013, in addition to the ICC Banking Commission meetings in March. Meanwhile, HE Sheikh Khalifa added, the good reputation of the State of Qatar, which allowed global companies to enter the Qatari market, has paved the way for several investment opportunities for the private sector. He noted that the QCCI has received several trade delegations and have paid many foreign visits in order to promote the investment in Qatar and introduce the advantages and benefits of the Qatari investment. HE the QCCI Chairman highlighted the cooperation accorded to the Chamber by all government bodies and institutions under the directives of HE the Premier and Foreign Minister. (QNA)
