Qatar, Oman Enhances Cooperation Relations in Labor Fields

Muscat, March 14 (QNA) - HH Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers of the Sultanate of Oman Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said met on Monday with HE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral cooperation in labor fields and the ways to develop them, in addition to emphasizing joint and continuous coordination on related issues. On the other hand, HE the Minister of Labor headed the delegation of the State of Qatar in the follow-up meetings of the agreement signed between the two countries on labor and manpower, in order to review experiences and exchange of expertise in the field of labor and manpower regulation. HE Dr. Al Marri also met with HE Minister of Labor of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman Dr. Mahad Said Baawain, and HE Minister of Heritage and Tourism of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman Salim Mohammed Al Mahrouqi. During the two meetings, they discussed aspects of joint cooperation in labor-related issues, and ways to support and develop them. The two parties stressed the importance of providing opportunities to benefit from expertise and experience in labor fields, especially labor market regulation, job localization, digital transformation and workforce planning in accordance with the needs of the labor market.
