Qatari Hajj Mission Launches New Hajj Guide Application Update

Makkah Al Mukarramah, July 04 (QNA) - The Information Systems Unit of the Qatari Hajj Mission launched the updated version of "The Hajj Guide Application" with a new look and multiple features.
The mission is keen on using modern technologies and advanced devise applications and on harnessing all capabilities and support means within an integrated system in which all the mission's supporting efforts combine. All this is to ensure providing the pilgrims of the State of Qatar with distinguished services so that they perform the duty of the fifth pillar of Islam and all its rituals correctly in the best conditions.
The Head of the Information Systems Unit in the Qatari Hajj Mission Abdulhadi Obaid Al Mahran confirmed in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the Hajj Guide application has been updated and developed to be a companion for the pilgrim on the Hajj journey, as it provides a detailed and simplified explanation of how to perform the Hajj rites and presents many selected fatwas to answer the pilgrim's possible questions. In addition, the application also provides a package of useful and important instructions to facilitate the blessed Hajj journey for the pilgrims. Al Mahran said that the application provides important addresses and an interactive map that specifies in detail the location of the Qatari campaigns in Doha and the Holy Cities.
Furthermore, he pointed out the introduction of new self-services to the application, including the feature of printing the Saudi Hajj permit through the application, as well as the possibility of extracting and printing a certificate of "Proof of Hajj" through the mission's system which is electronically linked to the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs. Also, the application includes the option of calling a hotline for swift assistance and support in responding to all pilgrim inquiries by the competent units.
Al Mahran said that this is done through the free hotline that allows communication from within the State of Qatar via the number (132), as well as allowing pilgrims having a Qatari or Saudi SIM card to communicate free of charge with the mission from inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia via the number (8003040444). Moreover, he added that the mission made it possible for a pilgrim to send their coordinates in a request for assistance in both normal and critical cases, linking them to the call center and the unified support unit.
In addition, he explained that the Information Systems Unit also provided an electronic reader for pilgrims' cards on smart devices to only give access to the pilgrims of the State of Qatar to enter the camps in Mina and Arafat, for organized and secure entry and exit processes, as well as to ensure that public services provided to the pilgrims of the State of Qatar are not overwhelmed. Needless to say that the Information Systems Unit continues to update its electronic services to serve pilgrims and facilitate all matters related to the Hajj journey. (QNA)
