Qatar's MOPH: Total Recoveries of COVID-19 Increase to 220,677

Doha, July 06 (QNA) - The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) reported today 53 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 among community and 40 among travelers.
The MOPH recorded 80 recoveries from the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases recovered in Qatar to 220,677.
Also, the ministry recorded the death of a 62-year-old, who had chronic diseases and received the necessary medical care.
The MOPH issued a statement on COVID-19 developments in Qatar, which said the following:
New Cases and Recoveries:
- 53 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 among community and 40 among travelers were announced today.
- 80 people have recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases recovered in Qatar to 220,677.
- The ministry recorded the death of a 62-year-old, who had chronic diseases and received the necessary medical care.
National COVID-19 Vaccination Program Data:
- 3304045 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered since the start of the program.
- 27629 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the past 24 hours.
- 76.7 percent of the eligible population has now received at least one dose of the vaccine.
- 98 percent of over 60s (the most vulnerable population group) have been vaccinated with at least one dose, while 92.8 percent have received both doses. (QNA)
