QNL Explores the Art of Arab Cinema Posters in New Digital Exhibition

Doha, November 17 (QNA) - Qatar National Library (QNL) will launch a new digital exhibition exploring the rich and diverse artwork of cinema posters in the Arab world. The exhibition will begin on Nov. 25 and will continue for six months.
Arab Cinema Posters: Art and Memory is a special digital exhibition of the distinctive artwork, featuring items from the Heritage Library's Arab Cinema Archive collection, QNL said, adding that the exhibition also provides an overview of the emergence of movie artwork in the Arab world.
Head of Collection Access, Distinctive Collections at QNL Maryam Al-Muttawa said that this new exhibition highlights the work of Arab poster artists who reflected the spirit and characteristics of each era through attractive pieces of art, using a blend of brilliant colors, broad-font Arabic calligraphy and graphics, all of which combined to greatly contribute to the success of these films across the Arab world. It is the first digital exhibition in this regard.
QNL noted that for everyone's safety, the visits will continue to be by appointment only. Moreover, visitors will be allowed into the building only if they fulfil some conditions.
The Library also invited those interested in visiting the exhibition to know more about the precautionary measures via the link: https://www.qnl.qa/en/reopening-measures (QNA)
