Quran contest winners honoured

Manama, Apr.20 (BNA): Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Undersecretary Dr. Fareed bin Yacoub Al-Meftah received Mehanna Ahmed Al-Sisi Al-Bouainain who won the Quran Memorisation Contest, which concluded in Kuwait. Bahraini Mohammed Samir Mujahed finished second in the Quran recitation. Reciters from 50 Arab and Islamic countries took part in the competition as part of the Kuwait International Quran Award. The Amir of Kuwait Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah honoured the two laureates during a prize-distribution ceremony.
