Rare collection of items to be auctioned

Manama, Oct. 13 (BNA): Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Bahrain, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul-Malik Al-A'Shaikh, will inaugurate the Bahraini-Saudi Auction for a Collection of Stamps, Banknotes and Antiques in the presence of ambassadors as well as expert numismatists and philatelists from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. More than 200 items from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will on Friday be auctioned including an old portrait of Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, letters from the office of late president Jamal Abdel Nasser, exclusive edition of Bahrain Magazine published in 1942 including a speech by the late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, an English gramophone case dating back to 90 years, an old pendant made in Britain, a 55-cm long samovar, etc.
