RCO inaugurates Bahrain Model Health Centre in Egypt

Cairo, Feb. 22 (BNA): Upon directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and under the patronage of HM the King’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Board of Trustees Chairman of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, RCO’s Secretary-General, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayyed Al-Ameen, inaugurated the Bahrain Model Health Centre in the Beheira Governorate, Egypt.
The centre’s opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and the supervision of the Grand Imam of al-Azhar, Shaikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb, in cooperation with the Egyptian Zakat and Charity House.
On the occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser extended deepest thanks and appreciation to HM the King, RCO’s Honorary President, for his noble stances, and sound directives to deliver humanitarian assistance and implement development projects that contribute to supporting brotherly and friendly countries.
HH Shaikh Nasser lauded the efforts exerted by President El-Sisi to enhance joint Arab action, and provide all potentials to facilitate the implementation of the joint Bahraini-Egyptian humanitarian project.
HH Shaikh Nasser also praised the unlimited support enjoyed by RCO from the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and backed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
HH Shaikh Nasser said that the joint Bahrain-Egyptian projects reflect the depth of bilateral relations, valuing highly the efforts of the public and private institutions in Egypt to extend bridges of love and fraternity between the two brotherly peoples.
Dr. Al-Sayyed, RCO’s secretary-general, extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad for his kind humanitarian gesture, represented in the pioneering health monument, lauding the support of the government to RCO, and praising HH Shaikh Nasser’s efforts in support of humanitarian and sustainable development projects.
In his statement, Dr. Al-Sayyed, affirmed that the health facility was built based on directives from HM the King, in line with the kingdom’s fraternal duty towards the brotherly people in Egypt, and in accordance with the precept of Islam.
He praised the existing distinguished cooperation with the Egyptian Zakat and Charity House, led by Shaikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb, paying tribute to the Beheira Governor and all Egyptian authorities for their cooperation.
The first of its kind in Egypt, the 1,000-square metre-health two-storey facility will offer round-the-clock services to about 30,000 citizens, he said, adding it provides various medical services from gynecology, health care and dental care,
Specialised clinics for the treatment of ophthalmology and sight-restoring operations will be added, he said.
The state-of-the-art health centre also includes a pharmacy, examination and treatment rooms, as well as other main facilities, he added.
Bahrain’s Ambassador to Egypt, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, lauded HM the King’s directives to implement development and humanitarian projects that serve humanity, praising the efforts of the government and HH Shaikh Nasser in this regard.
Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League, Ambassador Khalil Ibrahim Al Thawadi, expressed earnest thanks and appreciation to Bahrain’s leadership, government and people for their constant support for humanitarian work, and their keenness to implement sustainable development that serve humanity, which, he said contributed to consolidating psychological security and stability of the beneficiaries.
Secretary-General of the Egyptian Zakat and Charity House, Dr. Safwat Al-Nahhas, praised HM King Hamad’s distinguished humanitarian gesture, stressing that humanitarian work is among the priorities of successful states, like Bahrain.
Beheira Governor, Hashim Amna, extended earnest thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad for his pioneering humanitarian gesture, stressing the depth of the long-standing bilateral relations.
Bahrain’s Health Ministry’s Undersecretary, Dr. Waleed Al-Manea, extended deepest thanks and gratitude to HM the King for his pioneering humanitarian projects, expressing the Health Ministry’s pride in cooperating with RCO in all its charity and humanitarian projects in Bahrain and abroad.
It is to be noted that RCO has implemented a number of educational and health projects in Egypt, in cooperation with the Egyptian Zakat and Charity House.
