RCSI Bahrain , Alabama University discuss cooperation

Manama, Oct. 18 (BNA): Secretary General of the Higher Education Council (HEC) and Vice-Chairperson of its Board of Trustees Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, met President of RCSI- Bahrain Professor Sameer Otoom. Professor in the Department of Medical Education and Associate Dean for International Education at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, America, Majd Zayzafoon was present. The Secretary General was briefed on the programs offered by the RCSI- Bahrain through its cooperation with the University of Alabama, and the quality of the offered programs. Dr. Shaikha Rana affirmed that HEC is fully prepared to provide support and assistance that would raise the academic level of the university and improve the educational services provided to students. Professor Otoom pointedout that the university is working in cooperation with the University of Alabama to provide training opportunity for graduates, by studying an additional year at Birmingham, which in turn will provide the possibility of training in a number of reputable hospitals in USA.
