Readout of HRH the Crown Prince's meeting with the German Defence Minister

Manama, Oct. 27 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met with the German Minister of Defence, Dr. Ursula von der Leyen, on the side-lines of the 2018 Manama Dialogue. HRH the Crown Prince highlighted the strong ties between Bahrain and Germany across a number of sectors and stressed the importance of continuing to enhance cooperation in the defence and security sectors in particular HRH the Crown Prince emphasised the importance of the bilateral relationship to the security and stability of the region, noting that the relationship continues to grow under the leaderships of both countries HRH the Crown Prince welcomed the Defence Minister’s participation at a plenary session on conflict and diplomacy in the Middle East earlier in the morning HRH the Crown Prince and the Defence Minister also discussed a range of regional developments, as well as key issues on this year’s Manama Dialogue agenda HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad al Khalifa, and Lieutenant General Yousef bin Ahmed bin Hussain Al Jalahma, the Minister of Defence Affairs, also attended the meeting
