Record harvest of Akmola region’s grain-growers

Kokshetau, October 12, 2009 (Khabar) - 95% of wheat is already gathered. Despite on unfavorable conditions, rainy summer and prolonged because of it harvest gathering the quality of grain is very high. Total gather is more than 5 million tons, and the average productivity is 11.5 centners per hectare. It is 2 per cent higher than last year. “Grocery Contract Corporation” buys 840 thousand tons of wheat by quota. The safety of crop in Akmola region will be provided by 52 grain elevators with 3.8 million tons capacity.
