Remodeling of Samjiyon County Progresses Apace in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 27 (KCNA) -- The second stage project for remodeling Samjiyon County is progressing apace in the DPRK. Builders completed external and internal plastering of more than 60 public buildings and 30-odd blocks of apartment houses and reconstruction of 1 200-odd dwelling houses in the township of the county. They finished the construction of the Samjiyon Bridge No. 1 by removing tens of thousands of cubic meters of earth and carrying out thousands of cubic meters of concrete tamping. They also planted hundreds of thousands of trees, including white birch and clove tree, and are tending over 110 hectares of green belt in a scientific way. -0-
