Representatives Council holds seminar on Gulf Security

Manama, Oct. 31 (BNA): The Council of Representatives today held a seminar titled "Gulf Security" presented by former Ambassador Hamad Al-Amer focused on the GCC relations with neighboring countries, the GCC-US strategic security agreement, as well as the current developments in Iraq, Syria, Palestine and Yemen. The seminar also discussed the flagrant repeated interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries, the need to develop a unified Gulf media plan to face the hundreds of opposition media channels, and the dissemination of misinformation about the course of events in the Arab countries. It tackled the significance of re-establishing relations and developing plans to ensure the non-interference of the neighboring countries in the internal affairs of other countries and threatening their security and stability, and maintaining the Arab identity based on tolerance and coexistence.
