RERA signs agreement with UK Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors

Manama, May24 (BNA): The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has signed a cooperation with the UK Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). RERA Chief Executive Chief Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa sealed the deal with RICS Strategic partnerships Director Neil Shah. Under the agreement, training courses will be provided for appraisers to enable them enhance the quality of work in the field of real estate valuation, RERA Chief Executive Chief Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa stressed the importance of the real estate evaluation profession, the trading transactions as well financing packages provided by local banks. He said that the field of real estate evaluation has the potential to create work opportunities that can attract new graduates due to the rewarding financial returns. The training programme includes a mandatory course which will focus mainly on RERA standards and regulations Real estate appraisers who obtain RICS-certifications will be recognized an international real estate appraisers.
