Result of cadet’s second autopsy to be known next Friday

BANGKOK, Dec 9 (TNA) – The result of the second autopsy on the body of the first-year cadet by the Central Institute of Forensic Science (CIFS) will be known on Dec 15, said Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister ACM Prajin Juntong. After the family of the dead cadet, Pakapong Tanyakan handed over the body’s missing organs, received from the army-run Phramongkutkhlao Hospital to the CIFS on Nov 23 for completion of the renewed autopsy, the deputy prime minister said the CIFS is accelerating the procedure to determine the cause of the cadet’s death. The center confirmed that the result will be known by next Friday. Initially, it expected to complete the autopsy within a week after receiving the missing organs. ACM Prajin said he did not set the time frame for the work to let the forensic teams do their best for the accurate findings. The 18 year-old cadet collapsed at the military preparatory school in Nakhon Nayok and was sent to hospital where he was pronounced dead on Oct 17. The death certificate said he died of acute heart failure. His family sent his body for the second autopsy over the suspicion of his death. (TNA)
