Almaty, 22 October 2008, (Khabar) - Recently we told about difficult
situation of residents of one of settlements of Karasai district in Almaty
region. In 2006, district governor gave land lots to families with many
children, repatriates and budget employees not far from Sauynshy village.
But people still live without water, roads and electricity. And children's
studying is also in poor condition, they pick up cars to get to school in
Shamalgan. After critical TV story, the local authorities organized the
school bus for children. Also we told the village is in hollow and the
houses are very close to high-voltage electricity lines. So, Yedil Kaliyev,
deputy governor of Karasai district in Almaty region says they consider
issue of re settling of people to more comfortable place.
Yedil Kaliyev, deputy governor of Karasai district in Almaty region:
- We have formed the special commission on this issue and it includes
architect, workers of energy networks and administration of the district.
Yesterday we visited that site and came to the final conclusion it is
meaningless to construct electricity lines and water pipeline there as that
land is unfit for living. We advised with the governor of the district and
now we search for the possibility of re settling of people to the site with
communications.
