Role of mosques in disseminating tolerance stressed

Manama, Nov. 6(BNA): Sunni Endowments Chairman Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Hajeri received President of the World Commission for Mosques in Saudi Arabia Dr. Ahmed bin Salim Bahammam and discussed joint cooperation to construct and bolster the role of mosques. The two sides stressed the necessity of strengthening the role of mosques all over the Muslim World so that they disseminate the values of tolerance and coexistence protect society for extremism, bigotry and atheism and encourage religious and academic science. The two officials underscored the importance of strengthening the spirit of belonging and rallying behind the leaders of the Islamic countries to maintain security and withstand fast changes and seditions. The Saudi scholar commended the role of His Majesty the King in serving and revamping mosques. He also paid tribute to His Royal Highness The Prime Minister and HRH the Crown Prince.
