Royal efforts to boost Arab, Islamic identity lauded

Manama, Apr. 21 (BNA): President of Al-Azhar University, in Egypt, Dr. Mohammed Al-Harasawi stressed keenness of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on preserving Bahrain's identity and ensuring the kingdom's safety amid major crises undergone by the Arab region. He underlined the royal farsighted vision and keenness on unity of the land, identity and human beings.
This came in a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA) on the sidelines of the inauguration of the book entitled "Two Prosperous Decades" which was launched by Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DERASAT). The inauguration ceremony was patronised today by Royal Guard Commander His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in the presence of an elite of Bahraini and Arab political and intellectual personalities.
Dr. Al-Harasawi underscored HM the King's keenness on the interest of the nation and the Bahraini people, lauding the royal efforts to promote the culture of accepting the other, positive coexistence and integration among all social components. He emphasised that the reform projects spearheaded by HM the King stem first and foremost from the essence of Islam and the Islamic faith and reflect respect of HM the King for the Arab and Islamic culture.
