Royal order allocating family courts' building lauded

Manama, Nov. 22 (BNA): Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa expressed gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa for issuing the royal order allocating a separate building for family courts. The royal order was issued by His Majesty in support of the recommendations of the third national conference of Bahraini women which was held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council of Women. The minister praised the efforts and achievements of the Supreme Council of Women led by Her Royal Highness Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council of Women in all fields regarding woman and the family throughout 15 years since the establishment of the SCW. The royal order allocating an independent building for family courts provides more appropriate environment for the privacy of Sharia cases, modernization of court rooms and their expansion, fulfillment of the requirements of development of the courts' supporting administrative body and increased the effectiveness of legal research section, judicial implementation, the Office of Family Reconciliation and aims to boost the expertise veneers in the courts including sociologists, said the minister. The ministry tends to have this independent building located adjacent to the courts, the directorate of judicial implementation, the office of familial reconciliation, the inheritance and judicial gifts as well as the alimony fund to become a single complex inclusive of all the relevant judicial and legal services related to Sharia cases which will facilitate accessibility to justice especially for women, and will also facilitate for all litigant parties, lawyers and will facilitate speedy transactions and efficient services provided to families and the whole community, the minister concluded.
