Royal Order entrusts First Deputy Premier with developing executive branch

Manama, Oct.23 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today issued Royal Order (50) of 2018, entrusting His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier with developing the executive branch of government. The Royal Order stipulates the following: Article 1 His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier is entrusted with developing the executive branch of government and issue all necessary edicts, particularly the appointment of directors, as well as those with similar ranks, and transferring them to ministries and government entities. Article 2 His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier is assigned to chair and form the Civil Service Council. Article 3 The Civil Service Bureau (CSB) shall be affiliated with the Civil Service Council. Article 4 Decree 22 of 2011 on transferring the affiliation of the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) to the Council of Ministers is abrogated. Any text inconsistent with the provisions of this Order shall be repealed. Article 5 The Prime Minister, First Deputy Premier and ministers, in their respective capacity, shall implement the Order, which shall be effective as from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
