Royal order setting parliamentary election, candidacy dates issued

Manama, Sept. 10 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued royal order 36 for 2018 setting the parliamentary elections and candidacy dates.  Registered voters shall turn up at the polling committees to elect members of the Representatives Council on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. In case of a run-off, this shall be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Casting ballots at Bahrain embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions abroad shall take place on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. In case of a run-off, it shall be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Running for the Representatives Council shall take place from Wednesday,  October 17, 2018 to Sunday, October 21, 2018. Applications shall be submitted to the specialised committees in the electoral constituencies. The order shall be enforced from the date of its issuance and promulgated in the Official Gazette.
