Russia-China river cities partners in building Far East business

BLAGOVESHCHENSK, August 14 (Itar-Tass) - Two cities of China and Russia, located on the banks of the Amur river separating the two countries, will host major and simultaneous international fairs in September, allowing these Far Eastern neighbours to exchange delegations of business representatives, organisers said. AmurExpoForum opens its doors at Blagoveshchensk, in Russia’s Far East from September 19 to September 22 as the partnering Economic and Trade Fair welcomes visitors at Heihe in neighbouring northeast China, the press service of Amur region’s government said on Thursday. “Holding international exhibitions simultaneously in border cities will help expand the scope of the events and create an effective new platform for contacts between representatives of the two regions,” organisers said. Russia's forum will welcome Russian and Chinese officials and business representatives, scientists and experts to assess development of border cities in Russia’s Far East and creation of a special economic zone in the Amur region. AmurExpo first opened in Blagoveshchensk in 1992, bringing together more than 300 organisations alongside official delegations from Russian regions and foreign countries. Learn more on itar-tass.com
