Russia delivers 40 tonne humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees in Jordan

MOSCOW, March 27 (Itar-Tass) - Humanitarian aid has been sent to Syrian refugees staying in Jordan, Russia’s Ministry for Emergency Situations says. “In pursuance of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s instructions the Il-76 aircraft has left for Jordan from Moscow Region’s Ramenskoye airfield. The aircraft carries 40 tonnes of humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees,” the ministry’s spokesman Aleksander Drobyshevsky told Itar-Tass on Thursday. The Il-76 will deliver a mobile power station, tents, cloths and foodstuffs, the spokesman said.
