Russian Ground Forces’ commander arrives in New Delhi for working visit

MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. Russian military delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces, Army General Oleg Salyukov has arrived in New Delhi for a working visit to discuss bilateral drills Indra-2019, the Defense Ministry’s information and mass communications department told reporters on Tuesday. "During the visit talks are expected to be held with the leadership of India’s Ground Forces on the issues of fostering bilateral cooperation, holding joint force Russian-Indian Indra drills on India’s territory in 2019 and educating Indian military in universities of the Ground Forces and participation in the International Army Games," the department said. The Russian delegation will visit an armored formation and the National Defense College in New Delhi. The visit comes in line with scheduled bilateral contacts for 2019. Read more
