Saudi Ambassador: One-stop post saves time, effort

Manama, Mar. 8 (BNA): Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmalik Al-Shaik, said the visit of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to Qatar and the visits of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to Kuwait and Qatar complement cooperation efforts of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)'s countries. In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the ambassador stressed the outcomes of HRH Prime Minister's visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be positively reflected on economic and security sectors of both countries. He added the exchange of visits at the leadership and ministerial levels have assisted in boosting the two economic sectors, easing the King Fahad Causeway border crossing procedures and stepping up the completion of the one-stop post. He elaborated that the one-stop concept will largely contribute to easing pressure on travellers and help them save time and efforts. Drivers coming from Saudi Arabia into Bahrain will go through a Saudi post without the need for any formalities from the Bahraini authorities, while those driving out of Bahrain will have their travel documents processed on the Bahraini side without the need to go through similar formalities on the Saudi side. He said the King Fahad Causeway has greatly contributed to increasing imports and exports between the two kingdoms.
