Saudi Arabia Launches Two Digital Platforms To View Haj Process

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 30 (Bernama) -- The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Culture and Information (MOCI) has launched two digital platforms to give the entire world a window to view the haj 2017 process. In a statement on Tuesday, MOCI said the first platform at SaudiWelcomesTheWorld.org will provide an open window on the pilgrims’ journeys and invites the world to learn and share in the true values of Islam. “It tells the stories of the millions of pilgrims of every ethnicity, race, colour, and culture, who undertake what is for many the height of their spiritual lives,” the statement said. The second platform is a media portal www. www.Hajj2017.org. which provides information, updates and news about this year’s haj process. “Through this portal, journalists will be able to access and download media materials such as images, infographics and press releases. The portal will also allow users access to all official live stream channels,” the statement said. Over two million haj pilgrims from all over the world will be performing haj this year, which will begin Wednesday until Sept 4. -- BERNAMA
