Saudi Arabia's pivotal role in fostering security stressed

Manama, Oct. 30 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa praised the pivotal role of Saudi Arabia in maintaining regional and international security and stability. He emphasized its key role in defending Arab and Islamic issues, describing it as a main pillar of global stability. HRH the Prime Minister was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace today members of the royal family, senior officials, intellectuals, journalists, media persons, businessmen and citizens. He reiterated Bahrain's support to all efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serve the Arabs and Muslims as well as promote global peace and stability. He affirmed the GCC countries' dedication to serving their peoples and fast-tracking development in a free, open and secure climate. HRH the Prime Minister underscored the GCC countries' relentless efforts to promote the freedom of their peoples, stave off threats and defend the interests of Arab and Muslim countries out of belief in common destiny. He also paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his unabated efforts to develop Bahrain and boost its regional and international standing. HRH the Premier asserted the role of international forums in fostering cooperation between countries, lauding the Asian Cooperation Dialogue and its role in promoting Asian relations. In this context, he praised the efforts of Kuwaiti Amir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, pointing out Kuwait's hosting of the first Asian Cooperation Summit. HRH the Prime Minister reviewed with the audience regional and international issues, voicing regret over the destruction incurred by some Arab countries because of conflicts and tensions there. He warned of the danger of conspiracies and grudges in fueling violence and dislocating people.
