SBPAC to launch mobile phone app for teachers
PATTANI, Jan 16 (TNA) -- Thailand's Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (SBPAC) has created a free mobile phone application called, 'Kru Aunjai I Lert U', which would help to provide another platform for teachers in the southernmost provinces to ask for help from authorities 24 hours daily in case of emergencies.
SBPAC Secretary-general Panu Uthairat said in celebrations of the National Teachers' Day 2016, which falls on January 16 of every year, the centre has published 20,000 teacher passes to be given to all locations which were set to organise National Teachers's Day activities at the Primary Education District Office in Yala, Pattani, Naratiwat, and Songkhla provinces.
And on this occasion, the centre has also launched a mobile phone application, free for download for all smart phones, called 'Kru Aunjai I Lert U', aiming to create another platform for southern teachers to ask for assistance from the 1880 call centre in case of emergencies.
The application users would be able to directly send pictures, information, as well as time and place of any incidents via the app to the centre's "War Room", which would be monitored 24 hours daily and could immediately send in assistance.
The SBPAC secretary-general said the App could also be used to report in any incident that might need official assistance, so as to also provide another channel to help needed students and in turn help to improve their quality of life and give them support. (END)
