SCH President receives Swedish medical delegation

Manama, Dec.6 (BNA):Supreme Council for Health (SCH) President Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa met a delegation representing Swedish medical companies. The meeting was attended Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Waleed Al Manea, Government Hospitals Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ahmed Al Ansari and other officers. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa noted Bahrain's medical strides and efforts to provide full health coverage for all segments of society. During the meeting, he underscored the importance of consolidating cooperation with other countries, and sharing their expertise abd practices to achieve development goals. The two sides discussed aspects of cooperation between Bahrain and Sweden and other issues of common concern related to healthcare and medical specialties. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa highlighted Bahrain's efforts to step up prevention and combat diseases, noting the King's success in controlling the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19). The Swedish delegation commended Bahrain' s efforts to develop the health sector, lauding plans and strategies to keep abreast of global medical strides.
