SCIA President participates in international conference

Cairo, Jan. 27 (BNA): President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa took part today in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif’s international conference on renovation in Islamic thought and sciences which kicked off in Cairo under the auspices of Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi, with the participation of high profile delegations from all over the world. Addressing the conference, the SCIA President called to fathom the depth of the Holy Quran, Sunnah and jurisprudence to determine the religious stance from crucial contemporary issues. He lauded the efforts of Al Azhar Al-Sharif and its historical role over ten centuries in promoting Islam and its noble values as well as renovating thought and discourse while relying on the invariables. The conference, which concludes tomorrow, brings under the spotlight many issues related to renovation in Islamic thought and sciences. The Bahraini delegation, headed by Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, comprises Chairman of the Jafari Endowments Council Yusef bin Saleh Al Saleh and the council’s Chairman Office Director Mohammed Jalal Al Sayed.
