SCW Report2016 issued

Manama, Mar. 7 (BNA): The Supreme Council of Women (SCW) has issued its latest annual report for the previous year marking the International Women's Day which falls on March 8.
In the report, the SCW portrays the Kingdom of Bahrain's local, Arab and international accomplishments and initiatives for the advancement of women status lead by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King, and President of the Supreme Council of Women who was conferred the Arab Women's Medal by the Arab League in February and the announcement of Manama as the Capital of Arab Women.
The report said the year 2016 marked the Supreme Council of Women's 15th anniversary of its establishment and setting its jurisdictions in royal decrees.
The Council aims to continue to achieve women's equal partnership in building a sustainable, competitive community development, the empowerment of Bahraini women and the inclusion of their needs in national development to ensure constant stability of families and their cohesion, boosting the principle of equal opportunity to ensure Bahraini women's competitiveness and lifetime learning experience, ensure the availability of multiple and diverse options for women to upgrade the quality of their livelihood supported through legislations and policies, integration with strategic institutional partners and expertise houses specialized in women affairs according to highest international standards and specifications as well as national expertise and proficiencies.
