SCYS secretary-general receives UAE ambassador

Manama, Oct. 9 (BNA): Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, received here today the UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. Shaikh Salman welcomed the UAE envoy, and lauded the fruitful efforts he is exerting to enhance the fraternal relations between the two countries and their peoples. The SCYS secretary-general stressed that the Bahraini-UAE relations are solid at all levels because they are based on a long history of love, kinship and common destiny, affirming the importance of further bolstering bilateral relations for the best interests of the two brotherly peoples. They discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the sports fields so as to reflect positively on the youth and sports movements in the two countries. The UAE ambassador expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to Shaikh Salman for the warm welcome accorded to him, affirming his country’s keenness to develop cooperation with Bahrain in various fields to service common interests.
