SDC rescue expert team works in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSMAE/ The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC) in Mongolia are successfully collaborating on the second phase of the ‘Improving the National Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) capacities of Mongolia’ project. Under the project, a search and rescue training facility will be established and equipped at the NEMA Special Rescue Unit and instructors will be trained.
To get acquainted with the project implementation progress and ongoing establishment of the facility, a SDC rescue expert team and senior specialists of China’s National Earthquake Response Support Service are working at NEMA and the National Rescue Brigade.
NEMA First Deputy Head, Brigadier General G.Ariunbuyan on August 13 met with outgoing Deputy Director for SDC in Mongolia Ilaria Dali. At the meeting, Ms. Ilaria Dali extended gratitude to Mr. G.Ariunbuyan for joint implementation of the project, wishing success for his future endeavors.
