SEA, Italian Technip Energies sign cooperation agreement

Manama, Sept. 11 (BNA): The Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA) and the Italian Technip Energies have signed a cooperation agreement. The agreement was signed virtually by SEA President, Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza, and the Chief Executive Officer of Technip Energies, Marco Villa, in the presence of officials from the two sides. The memorandum of understanding aims to support the implementation of a number of renewable energy initiatives and projects that contribute to achieving common goals, through pilot projects, studies, and technical support for energy-related sectors in the Kingdom. It includes initiatives to reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, coastal wind energy and deepwater projects, in addition to green hydrogen uses. On the occasion, Dr. Mirza extended thanks and appreciation to the kingdom’s leaders for their unlimited support for SEA’s efforts, and keenness to put in place an economic environment that attracts projects and investments. He also shed light on the kingdom’s strides in the field of renewable energy. Marco Villa lauded Bahrain’s achievements in the field of sustainable energy, praising the pivotal role played by SEA in this regard. He said that his company was looking forward to working with SEA’s team to activate the agreement, which will benefit the two countries, and support the development process in the kingdom.
