SEA President chairs meeting

Manama, Apr. 25 (BNA): President of the Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA), Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza, has held a meeting with SEA’s specialists to follow up on a number of projects and initiatives related to renewable energy and power efficiency, whose importance has increased during the current global circumstances resulting from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Dr. Mirza reviewed the main decisions taken by the Government Executive Committee, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, stressing the importance of commitment to the safety instructions. The meeting also discussed the latest developments regarding SEA’s tender to install solar energy systems on 20 buildings in eight public schools. Seven companies have already offered bids for the tender. The meeting also discussed the implementation phases of the Green Building Code which was introduced last September.
