SEA President holds online meeting with Solar Water delegation

Manama, Dec. 11 (BNA): President of the Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA), Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, held a virtual meeting with a high profile delegation from the British Solar Water company, led by the company’s Chief Executive David Reavley and Customers Relations Head James Whitehead. The meeting was also attended by Senior Advisor for Trade and Investment at the UK’s embassy in Bahrain, Yara Tawfeeq. Dr. Mirza praised the efforts of the British embassy in supporting the government’s plans to promote investments and the exchange of expertise mainly in the sustainable energy field. He also provided the delegation with a visual presentation on the national plans for renewable energy and energy competence as well as present and future projects in both fields. He also shed light on the importance of initiatives and policies included in the two national schemes to ensure sustainability of water resources. Within the same context, the British delegation reviewed innovative environment-friendly technologies used by Solar Water in water desalination. They also thanked Dr. Mirza for the meeting, lauding the Kingdom of Bahrain’s achievements in the sustainable energy field. Discussions also focused on boosting cooperation between both sides and exchanging expertise in water desalination and sustainability of water resources.
