SEA President holds virtual meeting with business advisors

Manama, Aug.31 (BNA): Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA) President Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza held a virtual meeting with the energy business advisors of The Royal Danish Embassy to Dubai and Riyadh, Jonas Nielsen and Alia Mokbel. During the meeting representatives from the Danish company Hempel were presented, including the Environmental Project Manager Lynne Donald & Jesper Knudsen Regional Procurement Manager of Hempel Middle East. Dr. Mirza gave a presentation to the group with an overview of Bahrain’s National Energy Action Plans for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, associated national targets, as well as current and future projects which represent opportunities for the private sector to invest in renewable energy and energy efficiency. In light of the current progress the representatives from Hempel expressed interest in the Renewable Energy Certificate program and were directed by Dr. Mirza to contact the SEA technical team for further discussions. Other opportunities for collaboration were discussed and the representatives from the Royal Danish Embassy expressed thanks and appreciation to Dr. Mirza for the insights shared through the meeting and raised a number of Danish Companies which would be interested in some of the upcoming opportunities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
