SEA President meets Former French Premier

Manama, Apr. 11 (BNA): President of the Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA) Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received France Former Prime Minister François Fillon on an official visit to the Kingdom. Dr. Mirza praised France’s role in uniting global efforts to address the effects of climate change and its holding for the COP21 United Nations climate conference. SEA president reviewed the most important achievements of Bahrain in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency as part of the Kingdom's efforts to fulfill the agreements it had committed to during the Paris summit to address climate change. He stressed SEA’s keenness to build partnerships with entities of common interest in both countries and the exchange of experiences and investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, in a way that contributes to achieving comprehensive development and supports ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two countries. The former prime minister expressed his pleasure to see such great progress that the Kingdom has made in promoting sustainable energy sector, expressing his aspirations to enhance the prospects for cooperation in the fields of sustainable energy through cooperation with two French companies.
