SEA President receives Swiss Consul-General

Manama, Sept. 15 (BNA): President of the Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA) Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received today Swiss Consul-General to the Kingdom of Bahrain Humbert Vincent Buemi. He welcomed him, praising bilateral relations and growing cooperation in various fields. He also lauded the unlimited support given to the Sustainable Energy Authority by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Dr. Mirza gave a visual presentation on the renewable energy initiatives and the energy competence included in the national plan for renewable energy and energy competence. He also briefed the Swiss Consul-General on main developments in Bahrain in this respect in the public and private sectors. He discussed the Swiss experiences in generating wind energy and the floating solar energy projects. He shed light on the investment opportunities in both countries given the large experience of the Swiss companies in these areas which can benefit the kingdom mainly in the renewable energy field. Dr. Mirza called to further boost bilateral cooperation, exchange expertise and encourage investment in renewable energy and energy competence, stressing the authority’s keenness on enhancing bilateral relations and benefiting from cooperation opportunities. The Swiss Consul-General hailed Dr. Mirza’s call for strategic cooperation, lauding remarkable development in the renewable energy and energy competence sector.
