The Seleznyov Choreographic School has turned 75

Astana, November 21, 2009 (Khabar) - And its graduates and students giving a big concert at the Astana Opera and Ballet Theatre on the occasion. The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev also attended the concert. The Seleznyov Almaty Choreographic School is one of the oldest and leading dance schools in the Republic. Its graduates are known all over the world with 135 top dancers arriving in Astana for a concert. The President is now trying to make Astana not only the administrative, political and diplomatic centre of the country but also the heart of the republic’s cultural life. New theatres are being built in Astana with existing ones being repaired and enlarged.
