Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Theatre Award shows continue

Manama, Nov. 23 (BNA): The festival shows of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, Theatre Award for National Clubs, Youth Centers and People with Disabilities continued yesterday with the show "Najma Sohail" by Al Buhair Youth Center. The Award is organized by the Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs in collaboration with the Media Office of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. It is being held at Isa Town Cultural and Sports Club Hall, with the slogan #Painting_A_Smile. The festival is sponsored by: Tamkeen, Batelco, BANAGAS, Coca Cola, Al Hawaj, GPIC, Majestic Cars, Economic Development Board, Bapco, Palace Enterprises, Gulf University, Nissan, Yousif bin Ahmed Kanoo and Gadooa. The crew of the play is as follows: Ali Adel (director), Mohamed Bahlool (assistant director and scenographer), Mahmoud Al Alwai (writer), Abdulrahman Al Ruwaie (decor), Sarah Al Shaiji (make up), Ali Al Sharqawi (poetry) and production by Al Buhair Youth Center. The actors of the play are as follows: Abubaker Habib Al Ghazi, Khalid Al Kabisi, Abbas Al Samak, Fooz Al Sharqawi, Ruwaa Khalid, Hawaa Al Murbati and Mohamed Bahlool. The show received a strong reaction from the audience. A review session was conducted later by Ebrahim Al Dosari, who answered the audience’s questions. The attendance is expected to be bigger in the upcoming show as the Theatre Award draws near to the end. The Festival is an opportunity to meet youth Mahmoud Al Alawi, writer of the play "Najma Sohail", said that the festival is lovely occasion to meet Bahraini youth. On the sidelines of the play, Al Alawi said: "The festival gives an opportunity for youth to use their energies and present various artistic talents on stage. We presented a show that will satisfy the audience." Speaking on the success of the experience, Al Alawi said that the participation is successful pointing out that this was the most important aspect of this artistic youth gathering. The festival achieves more success Artist Hassan Ahmed stated that the Khalid bin Hamad Theatre festival has achieved more distinctive success in the second edition and success continues. Ahmed, who is one of the audience members, said that the festival is a chance for youth to appear on stage and discover their talent. Speaking on the show presented by Al Buhair Youth Center, he said that the show was beautiful, noting that the rhythm slowed a little bit near the end. "Qualitative" Event. The artistic youth gathering is and will be an opportunity to develop the potential of the participants," he added, "The idea is in itself extremely excellent and qualitative; it is true that it is my first participation as a director since I am an actor, but it is a leading and distinctive experience, and will be a lesson for development in the future." Adel praised His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s step in dedicating this festival for theatrical youth. He said in his closing remarks that he tried hard to present the best possible image through the show, presented by the Al Buhair Youth Center. Wonderful stance with poet Al Sharqawi Participating actors in the play (Najmat Sahil) raised a sign after the end of the show, in expression of joy at the occasion of Bahraini artist Ali Al Shaqrawi’s safe return following his medical trip abroad. The sign read (The people of Bahrain are thankful for Ali Al Shaqrawi’s safety, and may God heal the young actress Hawa Al-Mirbati). This confirmed the great place occupied by Al Sharqawi in the artistic community in Bahrain due to his distinction and closeness to everyone, being one of the pillars of poetry and culture in the Kingdom. "I will not wear your shoes" play today The Festival’s events continue this evening with the presentation of the ninth show, allotted to Salman Cultural Center. The Salman Cultural Centre will present a play titled "I will not wear your shoes" directed by Hassan Falamarzi. The crew of the play is as follows: written and directed by Hassan Falamarzi, assistant director Ahmed Mansouri, production by Salman Cultural Center, make-up by Sadiqa Al-Ansari. The cast is as follows: Ahmed Ali Mansouri, Fatima Ali Al Mehri, Hamad Al Namliti, Dana Sultan Bu Ayash, Zuhair Ahmed, Jamal Saleh Al Ghazal, Mohammed Eid Murshid, Haider Abbas Hassan, Yara Hassan Ali, Halima Ibrahim Janahi, Nasser Al Amiri and Mubarak Al Khulaifi. The invitation is open to the general public of both genders to attend the performances at the Isa Cultural and Sports City Hall and enjoy the theatrical performances.
