Shaikh Khalid congratulates Eldar

Manama, May 4 (BNA): Brave 6: Kazakhstan, held last week, achieved outstanding success after the wide interaction by the audience in the main event of the evening, where KHK MMA's Eldar Eldarov fought the Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist Henrique "Rasputin" Gomes in one of the most anticipated lightweight bouts of the season. His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Honourary President of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation, Founder of Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Mixed Martial Arts Orgnisation (KHK MMA), congratulated KHK MMA fighter Eldar Eldarov, through the official account of His Highness and said "Congratulation to our beast, Eldar, on his victory." Eldarov was born in Dagestan, Russia but has settled in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where he is part of the successful KHK MMA team, taking part even at Shaikh Khalid's training for his two amateur MMA bouts. Even after a tough weight cut in his first attempt at making 70.7kg -- the lightweight division limit with the one-pound tolerance for non-title bouts. Inside the cage, Eldar started the fight by putting pressure over Henrique and taking the opponent against the fence. Taking advantage of being the stronger one, Eldarov took the Brazilian down and quickly finished the combat with a vicious sequence of elbows, which made the referee interfere and stop the fight, declaring the Eldarov as the winner. This made Eldarov direct his first words after the victory to HH Shaikh Khalid saying: "We have done it Your Highness, I was able to come here and win thanks to your support." He added: "I would like to thank HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his support to the sport of MMA, especially his support towards an athlete like myself. This is very important to me and if not for His Highness, I would have not become the athlete that I am today. I am sure that you are watching me now Your Highness and Thank you. We have done it Your Highness." Besides that, Eldarov also directed a message to Mohammad Shahid, BRAVE President, for a title-shot by saying: "Also, I'd like to send a message to Mohammad Shahid, BRAVE President. Shahid, you told me if I moved down one division and got a win, I'd fight for the title next. Well, I've done it and I'm here, ready to get that beautiful belt, the most beautiful belt in the whole world. Make it happen!". BRAVE Combat Federation impact on the culture and the economy of any country is now well-known, especially after successful events in Bahrain -- two times --, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, and India. It wasn't different in Kazakhstan and the local crowd welcomed the event and its transforming power. During the public schedule, throughout the week, BRAVE executives, representing the staff from Bahrain, were constantly praised and saluted, and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s name got a standing ovation every single time it was mentioned during the fight week -- whether it was in the weigh-ins and workouts at the mall, or at the venue where the fight night took place. After the event, local promoters, who partnered up with BRAVE Combat Federation to organize the fight night have made a point of thanking His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad al Khalifa for his initiative. Merkhat Abilov, representing the local promotion Qazaq FC said: "We can't say anything but thank you to His Highness Shaikh Khalid". He further added: "BRAVE will be a path through which diplomatic and economic relations will be established between Kazakhstan and the Kingdom of Bahrain. We are sure about that." Mikail Nadirov, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Mixed Martial Arts Federation, focused on the sport's impact caused by the arrival of an international event like Brave in Kazakhstan and concluded his speech by saying: "We know for a fact that Brave has this transforming power and impacts in a very positive way all the countries it's visited so far. It won't be different in Kazakhstan. The event was very successful in terms of fan engagement, audience attendance, and athletes interest. This is the way we expect to move towards and we really look forward for the next Brave in Kazakhstan, next time, hopefully, with His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad al Khalifa as our special guest in the attendance."
