Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Rashid lauds UAE leaders' support to national inventors

London: First Secretary at the UAE Embassy in London, Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, lauded the UAE leaders, President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, for supporting the nation's male and female scientific researchers and inventors. In his remarks as he visited the stand of UAE inventor, Ahmed Abdullah Majan, at the 13th British Invention Show (BIS), the UKs largest exhibition of invention, innovation and technology which concluded yesterday in London, Sheikh Mohammed also lauded H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, for his interest in creativity and unlimited support for and encouragement to UAE talents. Sheikh Mohammed expressed appreciation of the personal initiative of Majan, a retired military officer who has achieved more than 1,000 patents to his credit, to promote UAE's bid to host the World Expo 2020 in Dubai, during his participation at BIS. Majan's initiative to promote the UAE's bid to host EXPO 2020 is being coordinated with the office of Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State and the national team for EXPO 2020. The minister's office expressed appreciation of Majan's initiative which backs the efforts of UAE youth and institutions to support the country to win its EXPO bid. Majan says he has presented his new invention, a device to protect fishing cages against theft, at BIS in London.
