Shura chairman congratulates BACA chief

Manama, Mar.9 (BNA): Shura Council President Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh congratulated Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa, who was declared winner of the Arab Heritage Personality 2019, the most prestigious award granted by the Arab Centre for Tourism Media (ACTM) to personalities who contributed substantially to preserving the cultural components in their countries and the Arab world. The award was conferred on BACA chief, as part the international travel market fair ITB Berlin, being held in Germany, in recognition of her crucial role to promote culture and preserve human and cultural heritage. He commended the strenuous efforts exerted by Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa to conserve national heritage, invest in culture, promote cultural exchanges and dialogue between civilisations.
