Shura Chairman lauds HRH Premier initiatives in combating world challenges

Manama, Sept. 30 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, praised the initiatives of HRH the Premier to strengthen international efforts in facing various global challenges. He stressed that the interest of the international community and organizations For HRH’s initiatives proves the achievement of sustainable development goals locally, regionally and internationally. Al Saleh highlighted the initiative of HRH the Premier which aims to establish a working group of member states to support the efforts of the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) and the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) in facing the repercussions of the Coronavirus pandemic and its impact. The group was named "Friends of the UN Secretary-General” on improving ways to counter the negative impacts of COVID-19 on SDGs’ achievement. The chairman noted that the support of international organizations and personalities participating in the forum indicates the prestigious position of HRH internationally. He sais that the message delivered by HRH as he patronized the " Bahrain Visions Forum", in its fourth session demonstrates HRH’s keenness to integrate international efforts to achieve the desired cooperation in facing global challenges.
