Shura Committee condemns terrorist Houthi militia's drone attacks against Saudi Arabia

Manama, Mar. 26 (BNA): The Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee at the Shura Council, chaired by member Yussif bin Ahmed Al-Ghatam, has condemned and denounced the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia’s targeting of Saudi Arabia by explosive-laden drones. The panel rejected the terrorist Houthi militia’s attempts to undermine Saudi Arabia’s endeavours to solve the Yemeni crisis and safeguard regional security and stability. In a statement, the Shura committee stressed that the Houthi militia’s hostile attack is a flagrant violation of all international norms and laws, expressing pride in the Coalition force’s high military readiness and vigilance, which enabled them to intercept and destroy the drones. The panel said that it backs all measures to be taken by sisterly Saudi Arabia to safeguard its security, stability and citizens’ safety, reiterating Bahrain’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia. The committee stressed that the attack was carried out just a few days after the launch of the Saudi ceasefire initiative in Yemen, calling on the International Community to confront such heinous attacks against Saudi Arabia, implement the initiative and put forward fair solutions to end the sufferings of the brotherly Yemeni people.
