Shura Council chairman congratulates AIPU president

Manama, June 20 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, has sent a cable of congratulations to the President of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU), Atef Al-Tarawnah, marking AIPU’s 45th anniversary. Al-Saleh expressed pride in the efforts exerted by Al-Tarawnah to enhance cooperation among Arab legislative councils and parliamentarians, as well as to consolidate joint Arab action and coordinate Arab parliaments’ efforts in various fields. The Shura Chairman also lauded the role played by Al-Tarawnah to strengthen the rules of Arab parliamentary cooperation and defend just Arab causes at international gatherings.
